Meet Tux

Tux is a shy boy but he quickly comes around, and when he gets to know you he is very affectionate and loving. He loves attention and if he thinks you’re not giving him enough he will meow at you until he gets the fussing that he wants. He likes playing with toys and is always happy to curl up in a comfy bed. Tux would like a home with direct access to a garden so he can go outside to explore and play. He may suit living with a children aged 8 or more.

How To Rehome

Feral Cats

Feral Cats at Borders Pet Rescue

A Null

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Shelter Location: Craigsford Earlston Scottish Borders TD4 6DJ

We have been asked to help to relocate some feral cats. We are looking for homes on farms or stables.

The cats will need somewhere secure they can be kept for at least 2 weeks so they get to know their new home and they will also need to be fed as they are used to being fed where they currently are.

There has been cat flu in the feral colony and so they cannot be rehomed along other cats since they may not have symptoms but could still be carriers and spread it to other cats.

We are looking to rehome them in pairs or more from within the colony. They will be wormed, deflead and neutered where needed before going off to their new home.

If you can provide the above situation for feral cats, please click HERE to apply. (Please note we reply to all applications so if you do not have a reply within 24hours, please check your spam folder)

Macadam Macadam

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: 3 Casselbank Street Edinburgh Midlothian EH6 5HA

Macadam is 6 years old and looking for an indoor only home. Macadam has been diagnosed as positive for FeLV (feline leukaemia virus). There is no cure for FeLV. Cats such as Macadam who are positive for FeLV are immunosuppressed so must stay indoors (and to avoid spreading it to other cats). Macadam's new home would need to understand that this is a 'when' scenario, not an 'if' and the disease will progress. We have attached information from iCatCare and Cornell university

Meet Jack

Jack is looking for a home where he can be the only pet and will need an owner who will be around to keep him company for some of the day. He may suit living with cat savvy high school aged children, and would benefit by having an owner who has experience with nervous cats.

Jack is a sweet and quiet natured boy who can be shy and nervous at times. He loves his food though and can be tempted to make new friends with some tasty treats. He enjoys being made a fuss of by people that he knows and would love to find an understanding owner who can help him gain some confidence. He would like a home with a quiet and secure garden so he can explore when he feels brave enough.

How To Rehome
