Key information: Arrived as a stray, in need of TLC, very friendly and loving. unknown if can live with other cats.
Taylor arrived at the centre as a stray so not much is known about his past. What we do know is he is a very sweet and loving boy who likes attention. He enjoys being groomed which is good because once he has regained his beautiful coat he will need regular brushing.
As you can see Taylor is in need of some TLC, his coat was badly matted when he arrived with us which is why his coat is a bit patchy. He was very underweight but is now starting to gain weight and is feeling stronger every day.
This handsome lad is very clean in his pen, he loves being warm and cosy and he is a bit of a foodie.
If you are interested in offering this delightful boy a home, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Teenagers
Bear is looking for an experienced owner who have had Bengal cats before and understand their quirks. He would like a home away from the city centre and to have easy access to a garden via a cat flap or window. Bear may be able to live with cat savvy teenagers but would like to be the only pet.
Beautiful Bear is a happy, outgoing boy with a fun personality. He adores people so much that he would be best suited to a home where he can be kept company for most of the day. He is incredibly affectionate and loves to have a cuddle with you on your lap. Bear can become incredibly vocal and quite persistent if he feels he isn’t getting enough attention so he will need an experienced owner who are prepared for a needy cat. He is an inquisitive boy and would like plenty of space to roam around outside for when the mood takes him. He is playful and loves his toys, but his favourite is chasing after a foil ball.
Bear has been very patiently waiting for his forever home and he will make a fantastic companion for someone who can accept him for who he is.
Bear has received some veterinary treatment during his stay with us. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.

BOBBY and Frankie are the most beautiful 16 week old tabby cats, now looking for their forever home. Bobby and Frankie are both brother and sister.
Bobby is a boy cat. He is a little timid at first, until he gets to know you. Bobby enjoys a cuddle when on your knee and he enjoys playing with his toys.
Frankie is a girl cat. She is the slightly tan , grey tabby. Frankie is very affectionate when she gets to know you. Frankie loves to be up high to sleep and enjoys little mouse toys and watching the fish in the tank.
We are looking for an experienced owner, who can continue the work of our brilliant fosterer and continue to bring Bobby and Frankie out of their shells.
Bobby and Frankie can live with children age 8 years and over.
Bobby and Frankie have been vaccinated and microchipped. Their worming and flea treatment is up to date.
Bobby and Frankie are currently living with other cats and a calm, cat friendly dog so can be homed with another cat and/or a cat friendly dog.
Bobby and Frankie can be homed together or separately. If being homed separately, we would prefer them to go to a home with another cat for company.
Bobby and Frankie are currently being fostered in Lanark, South Lanarkshire.
Have you?
1. An indoor loving home with direct safe access to the outsides eventually to come and go, as she pleases when she is old enough? A cat flap would be ideal, but not essential. No flats please.
2. Had/have you cats before and can demonstrate (via your vets records) a track record of neutering and annually vaccinating your previous cat(s).
If you think you can offer Bobby and Frankie a loving, forever home.
then, please contact Diane Litterick by text on 07964747379 or email litterickd@gmail.com

Rocco is a 6 year old neutered male. He is independent but does enjoy sitting on your lap and having strokes on his terms, and needs a patient and experienced owner. Rocco would need access to a garden as he has had this previously and would also need to be the only pet in an adult only home.
Rocco does enjoy a cosy bed to snooze in, especially an igloo bed or a cardboard box and likes a good scratch on a climbing tree as well as dreamies of course!
If you would like to make an appointment to meet Rocco or learn more about him please contact us on enquiries@edinburghcatprotection.org.uk or on 0131 554 5521

Pedro is approximately 2 years old. We unfortunately don't have much history for Pedro as he came in to us as a stray, unneutered and not microchipped.
Pedro can be very nervous and takes a while to warm up to people. We think Pedro would be most suited to an experienced, quiet home, with someone patient who can work on his social skills one-to-one.
Pedro loves window watching. He seems like he may enjoy access to a safe outdoor space.
Pedro will be best suited to a home with no children and no other pets.
If you would like to know more about this handsome chap who had a rocky start, please get in touch at: enquiries@edinburghcatprotection.org.uk or on 0131 554 5521

Sonny (black) and Samba are 10 year old males who would love to be rehomed together, they are a very sweet duo looking for a quiet home with outdoor access. They could live with children aged 10 years old and up.
Sonny has a cloudy eye due to a flu infection from when he was younger. Samba had a broken back leg when he was younger and now has arthritis. He takes medication for it, but may benefit from a supplement such as YuMove for cats.

Toots is such a lovely lady looking for a nice quiet home to call her own.
Toots is sadly a suspected carrier of cat-flu and while this doesn’t really affect her day-to-day, it may be something that flares up in times of stress, as such she’s looking for a home as an only pet. Toots gave us all a fright here at the centre when she took quite ill and had to spend over a week at the vets, however she is such a little trooper and has come back fighting fit – you would never know!
Toots is quite a deep sleeper and we suspect she might be a little deaf so would be best suited to a home with a secure garden where she can safely venture outside (if she wants to leave the warmth!)
Despite everything she’s been through, Toots is such a happy girl who loves company and would cuddle up on your lap all day if she got the chance!

An experienced owner
A quiet home
Phoebe is looking for a quiet home with an experienced owner who have dealt with feisty cats before. She would like easy access outdoors once she has settled into her new home. Phoebe needs to be the only pet in an adult only household.
Phoebe is an independent girl who sometimes likes human attention but only on her terms. She is confident in her surroundings but due to a past experience, does have a sensitive side and can become easily spooked by certain noises, particularly high-pitched ones. She requires a very quiet home, ideally with only 1 or 2 adults who can provide her with the predictable and stable home she needs. She likes having a cosy bed to curl up in but would like easy access to a garden so she can go outside whenever she wants to. She would be best suited to a home out of the city where there is lots of space for her to enjoy roaming around.
Phoebe is playful at times, and she enjoys watching the world go by from the top of her climbing tower. Her love for food has allowed her to gain a few extra pounds in the past so her new owner will need to be mindful of this and keep her waistline trim.
Phoebe is a cat who knows what she likes, and she can be a bit of a grump if people don’t respect her boundaries but for a committed and understanding owner, she will make a lovely companion.

We are still getting to know Flynn but he seems like a very sweet boy. Flynn found his previous home quite difficult so we feel he would be best suited to a quiet home with no children and no other pets.

Who could resist those big, beautiful eyes and cute purrsonality! Introducing our latest cuddle bug, Suki. She has an incredibly sweet personality – and requires an owner who can give her plenty of affection!
Suki was rescued from a Colony of cats that are fed well by the organisation they live with. However, Suki’s coat had become matted over the winter, so it was necessary to take her to the vet to get shaved.
Low and behold, she is the softest sweetest loving little thing. She lay down and let the vet shave her. So it’s clear that she has been a pet originally, and has possibly strayed into the colony.
She is tiny, and VERY affectionate. She loves nothing more than being cuddled.
It’s clear that she would do better with a home that can groom her (she loves being brushed) and has time to give her plenty attention.
As she is so friendly, she cannot be allowed to roam free, as she would likely go off with anyone passing by.
Ideally she would be an indoor cat, or have access to a catio, or garden with pet fencing. It would be sensible to bring her in during wet weather to avoid her coat becoming matted.
If you are interested in Suki please review our rehomimg FAQ page and submit your enquiry below – he is waiting to hear from you!

We’re delighted to introduce the very handsome Lenny. He arrived at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue as a long term stray but on arrival it was very clear he had been owned at some point in his life. He is lively, enjoys a good play with the feather tickler and bunny kicking his catnip toys now that he’s learnt toys are safe and fun!
Lenny is looking for an adult only home with no plans for children or possibly an experienced cat household with older children who can understand that affection needs to be on Lenny’s terms until he’s learnt to trust you. With living on the streets for so long not everyone has been kind to him so it can take him a little time to warm to strangers.
When Lenny first arrived his coat was badly matted and filthy, full of twigs and he just looked miserable. His coat condition is returning slowly and now he’s all neutered and vet checked he’s looking forward to finding someone to love him unconditionally and teach him what love is in a warm and safe home.
If you are interested in Lenny and can offer him what he needs, please apply below – he is waiting to hear from you!
