**Zoro still needs to be seen by our vets so no appointments will be made until this has happened**

Zoro is a friend older boy who can be a bit shy until he gets to know you, Zoro is looking for a new home with a secure garden so he can get plenty of running around even at the age of 11.

We are unsure how good Zoros vision is and once he has been to the vets we will be able to provide more details about this, with this he can sometimes be surprised if you try and touch him.

Zoro is said to be good with other dogs and did live with a female before, Zoro would be able to live with older children (teenagers+). Zoro does need a cat-free home, however.

Fluffy is a shy girl looking for a home with an experienced owner.

She isn’t keen on being handled but is starting to come out of hiding to take Dreamies from the staff at the centre.

Feral Cats

Feral Cats at Borders Pet Rescue

A Null

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Shelter Location: Craigsford Earlston Scottish Borders TD4 6DJ

We have been asked to help to relocate some feral cats. We are looking for homes on farms or stables.

The cats will need somewhere secure they can be kept for at least 2 weeks so they get to know their new home and they will also need to be fed as they are used to being fed where they currently are.

There has been cat flu in the feral colony and so they cannot be rehomed along other cats since they may not have symptoms but could still be carriers and spread it to other cats.

We are looking to rehome them in pairs or more from within the colony. They will be wormed, deflead and neutered where needed before going off to their new home.

If you can provide the above situation for feral cats, please click HERE to apply. (Please note we reply to all applications so if you do not have a reply within 24hours, please check your spam folder)

Milo Milo Milo

Milo at Borders Pet Rescue

A Male Crossbreed Dutch Shepherd who is age 18 to 24 months

Good With Children Not Good With Other Pets Not Good With Dogs

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Shelter Location: Craigsford Earlston Scottish Borders TD4 6DJ

Milo will need several visits before he can be rehomed so we can only accept applications from people who are willing/able to travel to the rescue centre a few times

Milo is a very intelligent +1yr Shepherd crossbreed. He is looking for a home with an experienced dog owner where he will be the only pet and with no young children. Milo needs a home that will give him the exercise he needs and also the mental stimulation and training that he needs. If he doesn’t get enough mental stimulation, then attention-seeking behaviours come out. He is easily bored so it is important in his new home he is kept mentally stimulated – he does enjoy chasing a ball, but that is not enough to keep him occupied!

Milo is such a clever dog who would love to have a “job” to do, for example; Mantrailing, scent work, or cani-cross to help keep him mentally stimulated – he has the energy, both physical and mental of a working dog.

Milo does need some work around other dogs as he can react to some but has been introduced to some dogs at the centre and he will walk out with the other centre dogs.

In his new home he must have his own secure garden with at least 5ft fencing so he can burn off some energy running about.

Poor Milo has spent a long time in kennels so will need an owner with the time and patience to help him settle into life in a home. He will find the first while in a home a bit difficult and quite  exciting so an understanding owner is essential but given the chance he will make a great companion.

If you can offer Milo the home he needs, please click HERE to fill in an application form in the first instance. (Please note we reply to all applications so if you do not have a reply within 24hours, please check your spam folder)

Find out how you can help look after animals in our care, visit: how you can help

Key Information

Good with older children (teenage +), Looking for an experienced owner, Needs a secure garden, Needs active home, Needs some training, Needs to be an only pet

*Please note that Rex still needs to see our vets before he can be adopted*

Rex is a very friendly 2-year-old Lurcher that has lived with a female Lurcher without any problems so he could do so again, he does however sometimes take a dislike to male dogs. Rex has lived with children before and could do so again proving they are dog savvy. Rex will need an owner who is around the vast majority of the time as he is not keen on being left, this is something that his new owners would need to understand.

Rex does need a home with a secure garden where he can get plenty of running time, he also needs a cat-free home.

Rex is a fit young boy who would love to get plenty of exercise…
