History... unfortunately Lucy's owner is no longer able to look after her.

Hi, my name is Lucy and I am about 7 years old, I love going for walks and I am very people friendly, but I can be a bit temperamental as far as other animals are concerned, so I don't want to share my home with other 4 legged friends.

I am well behaved girl who loves treats even more, I love my food and always clear my bowl.

I can be left in the house on my own and I don't destroy anything. I love snuggling up more than anything, I am big sook and also love play time.

Lucy is your typical happy go lucky & friendly staffie, she will make such a great companion 🤍

Miss Ruby is looking for an owner who can continue her basic training and can keep her company most of the day whilst she settles in. She may be able to live with high school aged children and another dog.
Miss Ruby is a real sweetheart who has a lot of love to give. She can be a little unsure of new people to start but she very quickly comes around with the offer of a tasty treat or her favourite toy. Miss Ruby can become overexcited at times and become mouthy so she requires her new owner to work on this, she loves her food and is eager to please so this will be a good motivator for her when working on her training. She enjoys human contact and is very affectionate so would love an owner who can keep her company most of the time so she can lap up all the fuss she deserves. She enjoys being out and about and running around with her toys but won’t require long walks. She is a girl who enjoys the finer things in life and loves curling up in a cosy bed after a day of fun. Miss Ruby does have doggy friends at the Home and she may like to live with another dog pending a successful introduction.
It has been a long road for Miss Ruby, and we are extremely grateful to those who supported us so we could get her to where she is today. She deserves the most loving home she could ever wish for.
Miss Ruby has had some veterinary treatment whilst in our care. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.

Teenagers

Max is looking for an experienced owner who have had large dogs before and are committed to continue his ongoing training. He would like easy access to a secure garden and to be kept company for most of the day. Max could live with dog savvy older teenagers but needs to be the only pet. He requires a home in a quiet area away from the city centre.
Max is a friendly, boisterous big boy who doesn’t realise his own size. He doesn’t seem to have had much consistency in his short life and is still currently undergoing training so his new owners must be prepared to visit him at the Home a few times to do some training sessions before he is ready to leave. Although he has made doggy friends, he becomes easily frustrated when he sees them which results in him becoming very strong on his lead and jumping up so he needs an owner who will manage his introductions carefully. He is a clever boy who is eager to please and he will do anything you ask of him for a tasty bit of chicken.
Max is really an affectionate big baby at heart, and he loves being made a fuss of. He is very playful and enjoys a tug toy or anything soft & squeaky. He adores his food and likes his enrichment sessions that include a tasty filled kong.
Max will require a lot of commitment from his new family in order for him to reach his full potential but he is sure to bring a lot of joy to your life.

Dusty has been very popular so we are no longer accepting new interest for her.
Dusty is looking for a quiet home with an experienced owner who have owned nervous dogs before. She would like company for some of the day whilst she settles in. Dusty may be able to live with older teenagers but would like to be the only pet in her new home.
Dusty is an extremely sweet but nervous girl who does lack in confidence when it comes to meeting new people but with patience and reassurance does come out of her shell. She can be easily startled by loud noises or sudden movements so would like a quiet, predictable home with someone who is understanding and will give her reassurance for when she feels worried. She adores the people she knows best, loves getting her tummy rubbed and is incredibly affectionate. Being a collie, she will require plenty of mental and physical stimulation, her favourite game is chasing after a tennis ball but she may also like to do some hill walking or running. After a day full of fun, she likes to curl up in her cosy bed for some much-needed snoozing. She will make a loving addition to her new family.
Dusty’s coat will need to be regularly groomed to keep it matt free so any new owner will need to be mindful of the extra time and financial cost this will bring.

Nola has now been matched to several applicants so we are no longer accepting new interest for her.
Nola is looking for an owner who can continue her basic training. She would like to be kept company for most of the day whilst she settles into her new home. Nola may be able to live with older dog savvy children and possibly a cat.
Nola is a happy, outgoing girl who is very friendly and cuddly with everyone she meets. She is full of fun and energy but can sometimes forget her manners and become boisterous so would only be suited to older children who are used to dogs. She loves running around her toys but particularly enjoys a good chew on the squeaky ones! She enjoys her walks down to the beach and is happy to have dog walking buddies but does pick and choose who she wants as her doggy friends so needs an owner who understand this and can manage her introductions carefully. She really enjoys the company of people and does require someone to be home most of the time to allow her time to settle in and then gradually build up her leaving hours. Nola is very food motivated which will help massively for an owner who is keen to further her training. She will bring a lot of joy and laughter to her new owner’s life.
Nola has received some treatment for her skin whilst with us. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.

Home Requirements
A home with garden

Bertie has been incredibly popular which means we can no longer accept new interest for him.
Bertie is looking for an owner who can continue building his confidence and can keep him company for most of the day. He would like access to his own private garden so he can enjoy the outdoors in a safe area and work on his housetraining. Bertie may be able to live with high school aged children and possibly a female dog.
Bertie is a sweet boy who can be quite nervous of new people to begin with. He is becoming braver each day he is with us but still has a way to go so requires a patient owner who are committed to continue building his confidence and will take things at his own pace. He enjoys playing with his favourite squeaky toy and he loves his food both of which could be good motivators when continuing his training. With those he knows well, Bertie is incredibly affectionate and loves being made a fuss of and he would probably make the ideal lap dog. He much prefers the company of female dogs over males so may be able to live with a female dog pending a successful introduction.

Age: 10 +years
Key information: Arrived as a stray, in need of TLC, very friendly and loving. unknown if can live with other cats.

Taylor arrived at the centre as a stray so not much is known about his past. What we do know is he is a very sweet and loving boy who likes attention. He enjoys being groomed which is good because once he has regained his beautiful coat he will need regular brushing.

As you can see Taylor is in need of some TLC, his coat was badly matted when he arrived with us which is why his coat is a bit patchy. He was very underweight but is now starting to gain weight and is feeling stronger every day.

This handsome lad is very clean in his pen, he loves being warm and cosy and he is a bit of a foodie.

If you are interested in offering this delightful boy a home, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Buddy is a happy boy who has a zest for life. He loves people and thinks every person he meets is simply there to see him and tell him what a good boy he is.

Beautiful Bonnie!

This it the Bonnie, she is a sweet natured, playful, happy and very loving girl.

This girl loves the great outdoors and is always up for an adventure. She is happy to be around other dogs but we are looking for a cat free home.

She is a typical hound in the fact her recall isn't the best so she will be looking for a home with a secure garden. Due to her size and her full on playfulness we are looking for a home without very young children (10 years plus will be fine).

History

Bonnie was born here at the centre back in October 23. Sadly she has been returned due to her owners feeling like they could no longer give her the life she needs.

Re-homing Criteria

Bonnie loves to be out and about . We need a family that are willing to carry on with her training she is such a clever girl and wants to please. A fully secure garden is a must with fencing of 6 foot to keep her safe and secure while in her own space. We would be looking for families with children over the age of 12 , due to her training needs. Bonnie would love to live with another dog, we do not know what she would be like with cats. Bonnie is a breed that has energy to burn , we can see her loving the outdoor lifestyle .. camping, hiking, milling around the stable yard and joining you on countryside hacks, she is not an urban dog and will never really enjoy that lifestyle. Do you need a running companion , someone to hike up that Munroe with ... Our Bonnie could be the one !
