Breed: Bulldog
Sex: Female
Age: 4 years old
Key information: Friendly girl with people, can live with children 12 years and over, needs to be the only pet in the house but can have some calm doggy friends on walks.
Tilly is a sweet and friendly girl who adores her family. She loves being the centre of attention and will make sure she is first in line for a belly rub or two! Tilly is happy to meet new people although she can be a little shy at times but will quickly overcome this with a tasty treat.
Tilly is a playful girl, and she enjoys playing with all her toys, she doesn’t have a favorite, but she will have a little game with them all, making sure to have the best time! Tilly loves the garden, she will happily potter investigating or finding a sunspot to rest in and she doesn’t think twice about having a good old roll around in the grass.
Tilly likes going for walks, but she is not the most energetic dog, she is comfortable walking for around half an hour but is much happier snoozing on the sofa next to you, especially if the weather is bit cold or wet.
Tilly is looking for new owners who are at home most of the day, someone with their own garden and who knows all about the Bulldog breed. Tilly is house-trained and loves the car.

Contact Shelter Adoption Form More Shelter Pets

Breed: Crossbreed
Sex: Female
Age: 3 years old
Key information: friendly and loving with people, can live with children over the age of 14 years old, and friendly with dogs.
Honey is the friendliest girl with people, every time she see’s someone she does the happy dance, which is more like a happy wiggle! She is very affectionate, loves attention and will never turn down an ear scratch or tummy rub.
Honey is a clever girl, she knows all her basic commands and loves to learn.  She loves to play with her toys, if she isn’t running after her favorite squeaky, she is likely to be parading about showing it off.
Honey enjoys her walks, and she is good walking on her lead, although chasing after birds can become too tempting and she may pull towards them. She enjoys meeting other dogs and saying hello to them. Honey is very playful but sometimes she can forget her size and manners, and other dogs can find this behavior a little rude, so bigger dogs who can match her play style would be ideal playmates.
Honey is looking for owners who have owned bigger dogs before, someone who is at home most of the day to help settle her at home would be good for her. She will need a big garden where she can stretch her legs and spend time off her lead.
Honey is a big sook who loves to cuddle and be around you, just the sight of her makes you smile and instantly brightens your day.
if you think you can offer Honey her forever home, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Breed: Greyhound
Sex: Female
Age: 2 Years old
Key information: friendly and loving with people, can live with children over the age of 14 years old and could possibly live with another sighthound.
Lottie is a sweet and gentle girl who loves people, she is an ex-racing Greyhound who sadly has never experienced love from owners or the tranquil happiness a home can provide.
This wonderful girl is full of grace, she walks beautifully on lead and enjoys saying hello to everyone she meets. Like all sighthounds Lottie does have a chase drive and when out and about on her walks she is kept on her lead and wears a muzzle, this is something she is completely happy with, to her it’s her walking accessory.
Lottie loves her home comforts, after a walk in the park she is more than happy to sprawl out on her cosy bed enjoying a peaceful nap. Lottie is very affectionate, she is first in line for a neck scratch or an ear tickle, and she doesn’t mind a belly rub or two either!
Lottie is looking for new owners who are at home most of the day, she would like owners who know all about sighthounds and who have a big garden where she can spend time off her lead safely either zooming around having fun or finding a sunspot to relax in.
Lottie has been pretty unlucky in life so far and we think it’s time she got her chance to find people who will love her just as much as she will love them!
if you think you can offer Lottie her forever home, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Ivy is a sweet and loving girl, she is at her happiest when she is surrounded by the people, she loves the most. Ivy is a friendly soul who will always welcome you with a happy demeanor and wiggly bum.
unfortunately, we don’t know much about Ivy’s background as she arrived with us as a stray, but what we can tell you is she is a happy dog who loves to have fun. She enjoys playing with her toys and if she isn’t running around squeaking her favorite monkey, she will be encouraging you to have a good game of football!
Ivy has not been well cared for in the past, she is a little thin but with all the biscuits she has been getting we are sure she will meet her weight target soon! Ivy does have itchy skin and does need daily medication to control this.

Archie at the Borders Pet Rescue

Contact Shelter Adoption Form More Shelter Pets

Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Whippet
Sex: Female
Age: 4 years
Key information: Needs some training. Needs a secure garden. Needs a cat-free home.
Archie is around 4.5 years old and can be a bit bouncy when meeting people initially. She needs to be walked on lead unless in a secure environment due to her high prey drive. She is not good with cats or any wild animals but gets on well with most dogs, although can get over excited at times wanting to play. She is good with older children but can be boisterous and clumsy. She does not travel well in the back of a car and can get stressed and noisy. She also suffers from separation anxiety and even though she can be left alone in a house for short periods she won’t settle if you’re out too long, this should improve with ongoing training. Archie has a great character and would benefit from someone with lots of spare time to carry on her training as she is a very clever dog.
Please note Archie is not currently in our care, if you would like to offer Archie a new home, please send your contact details to info@bordrespetrescue.org and we will pass these on to her owners
