Introducing Roxy the woolie akita!

This beautiful girl is seeking a new home through no fault of her own. She is 10 years old and based in Uddingston, Lanarkshire.

She is an incredibly sweet and friendly girl, living up to the nature of the long coat akita. She really is amazing.

She has a great nose on her and loves to sniff so she has taken up the hobby of going mantrailing!

Roxy walks beautifully on the lead and does not bother with dogs outside. She could possibly share her home with a very well mannered neutered male pending introductions.

Roxy was at risk of being put to sleep, but was kindly taken in by a local dog trainer purely to save her life, but unfortunately the resident dog is not a good mix for her.

She has been used to quite a lively environment in the past so has proven to be extremely adaptable to her surroundings.

She is loved and very well looked after in her foster home but ideally needs a home of her own. Could it be yours?

This little girl is 12 year old Roxy! Based in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire.

She is a well mannered and gentle lady who would benefit from a relaxed way of life. Roxy is a quiet soul who walks beautifully on the lead, ignoring other dogs, and understands basic commands. She is a little shy on first meeting her but soon settles. She is not fussed about toys but loves a nice blanket.
Roxy has a healthy appetite and is just a sweet natured girl who does not ask for much.

She has never lived with another dog so it may be too overwhelming for her to share, but she does have a cat friend!

No children please.

Do you have room in your heart and home for Roxy? Our assessors loved her!

This long hair american akita is a very chilled boy, who despite being 9 years old, is young at heart.

The long coat is rare in the breed and is produced by a recessive gene.

Duke is a total gentleman - affectionate, goofy, and as a typical akita, he will guard the ones he loves.

He has been loving having the company of his foster pack. With the correct introductions, he could live with a female companion. He has even been unbothered by the resident guinea pigs!

Duke walks really well on the lead, only leaving your side to go do his business, and has not shown any reactivity while with his foster family.

Duke was brought to JAWT after his previous owner sadly passed away. He has some experience of being around his grandchildren and the rescue would consider rehoming to a family so long as the correct measures are in place.

One of Duke's favourite past times was going for a pint at the pub with his daddy. He was a bit of a local celebrity and loved watching the world go by at his local boozer!

Currently located in Glasgow area, Duke is looking for his forever home!
