Barry

Barry at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male Greyhound who is age 3yo

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

3yo Barry is looking out for his forever home. Barry does in the whole have a good nature and can be homed with other greyhounds but he is very protective of his food and care needs to be taken when feeding. He is very reactive to small dogs so would therefore be unsuitable to live with them. Barry would suit an environment with someone who has sighthound experience.
Cliff

Cliff at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male Greyhound who is age 3yo

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Cliff is a 3yo boy looking for his forever home. So far he has been fine with his kennel mate, he also didn't react to anything that he seen on Sunday. He can be a bit pully at times on the lead. He can also be a little wary of new situations until he gets used to them but overall he's a very friendly boy.
Burkey

Burkey at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male blue Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Burkey is on the lookout for his forever home. He will celebrate his 4th birthday in November and hoping to do so on his forever sofa. Burkey gets on OK with other female greyhounds. For some reason he is reactive to blue greyhounds (and they say dogs are colour blind). He is a happy lad who suffers from waggy tail injury other words known as burst tail due to him wagging it so much. Does Burkey sound the boy for you ?
Louis

Louis at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Little update on Louis. He so far is proving to be a very friendly boy. His tail is always on the go and loves his cuddles. He is protective of his food and likes you to know it’s his when other dogs are about. He has been introduced to young children with no issues. He could go with other greyhounds but as yet he hasn’t been introduced to other breeds.
Jack

Jack at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Jack has joined us to look for his forever home. He’s a very playful lad who gets on well with other greyhounds. Has not yet been introduced to other breeds.
Emma

Emma at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Female Greyhound who is age 5yo

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Unfortunately after almost 1 year in a home Emma who is 4.5yo has had to come back to us due to the health deterioration of her owner. She is a playful girl who gets on with other greyhounds and children. We would really like to try and get this girl into another home ASAP so that her stay in kennels will be short.
Ivor

Ivor at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male blue Greyhound who is age 5yo

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Ivor is a 3.5yo blue boy that will be available end of March to begin looking for his forever home. He is a friendly boy that likes a carry on. He is not very good with small dogs and he’s a bit strong on the lead so for this reason we wouldn’t be looking to place him in a home with young children.
Jan

Jan at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Female Greyhound who is age 6yo

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Golden Oldie Jan is looking for her forever home. She will be 6yo in April but you wouldn’t think of her as “old”. She loves a run around the paddocks, gets on well with her kennel mate Jack. She is clean in her kennel so believe that house training would be simple with her. Let’s get Jan a sofa that she so deserves.
Penny

Penny at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Female Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Penny is a lovely girl who will be able to go to a home from the beginning of April. She is a friendly girl that gets on with her kennelmate no problem. She has spent some time in a home environment prior to coming to us where she met mid sized other breeds with no issues. She is a clean girl in her kennel so we believe house training would be straightforward with her.
Wolfie

Wolfie at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Wolfie is a very playful boy that loves to jump at you for attention. He has so far been perfect in every of his assessments. As yet hasn’t been introduced to other breeds. Even though he is friendly we wouldn’t place Wolfie with young kids in case of accidents. He’s quite a “chunky” boy and could cause a youngster to end up on their backside if he pounced up.
Lady

Lady at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Female Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Well here’s what we know about Lady. She’s a lovely natured girl that walks well on a lead. She could be homed with children. There’s no issues with other greyhounds and there’s also a potential there for this girl to live with cats with proper introductions. She was introduced to cats and showed little interest and was easily distracted. So for further details just get in touch.
Anna

Anna at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Female Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Anna has been a perfect girl since she has arrived with us. You would never know she is here. Spotless girl that has got on with every greyhound she has met. Also has been around children with no issues. She will be ready to go to her forever home at the end of April but if you would like to meet her and reserve her prior to that then get in touch. We promise that you will not be disappointed with this little girl.
