Rumo at Scottish Greyhound Sanctuary

A Male Brindle Greyhound who is age 6 years

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Pet Location: In foster

We are seeking a very special home for a gorgeous 6 year old gentleman of a dog. Sadly due to a change in his family’s circumstances they are no longer able to look after him. He’s a stunning boy and has lived with all different breeds previously, although not with cats and he’s not spent much time around kids.

His new home needs to be quiet and with someone around most of the time because the poor boy has a heart condition. He needs a garden to potter around in as his exercise has to be limited and he will be on medication for life. He will be ideal for someone who leads a quiet life, who doesn't mind not going for long walks and who will give and receive love and cuddles. He loves the sofa, roaches a lot and chitters at the drop of a hat. He's just such a gentle, friendly, forgiving soul.

We would prefer him to be adopted but will consider long term fostering as an option. SGS may be able to contribute to ongoing costs for treatment. If you think you can provide this type of home and are interested in finding out more please contact us. Thank you.

Beautiful Mel has recently gone into foster. So far her foster family have discovered that she loves kisses, is super cuddly, likes to play with soft toys (and kitchen roll) and she gets on really well with the two two other hounds she's living with. She walks well on the lead and will soon get to meet other shapes and sizes of doggies to see how she gets on! We will update more on Mel as we get to know her.

Buster Buster Buster

A Male Black and tan Lurcher who is age 7.5 years

Good With Children Good With Dogs

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Pet Location: In foster

Lurcher Buster is looking for his forever home. He has now retired from being a working dog and would love nothing more than a nice comfy sofa of his own. He was born around July 2011 and he has mostly slept in kennels with other working dogs and gets on brilliantly with them. He has spent time in the house as well with no issues. Buster is great with kids including the 2 year old he lives with currently. He is not likely to be cat trainable. He is still a fit energetic lad. He is mostly well behaved with livestock (although sometimes needs a little shout if sheep start running as he wants to chase them). He walks well on a lead. He loves the beach and woodland walks.

If you have room in your home and your hearts for Buster please visit our website https://www.scottishgreyhoundsanctuary.org where you can complete an online application form or you can email us at info@scottishgreyhoundsanctuary.com or phone us on 08456439335.
