Bertie is a 2 year old crossbreed. Bertie is a bouncy and active boy. He is a very energetic boy who enjoys going for long walks and splashing around puddles. He likes games where he can search for toys in the long grass.

Type of home needed

Bertie came to us as a stray and we have limited information on him, we will be looking for patient owners who have time to settle him in and continue with his basic training. He doesn't like being fussed over so would be best suited to an adult home with owners who will give him time to settle.

I'm Lola and I am going to tell you about myself. I am 7 years old and have been at the centre quite a long time. This is becuse I am looking for a very special type of home with very special people who hopefully will understand my needs. I am such a loveable girl who just adores everyone I make friends with. I love nothing more than a gentle cuddle and having a neck rub is my favourite thing (I have a very long elegant neck). I love to snuggle on the sofa next to my loved ones and do this every night with my carers here at the centre. I love playing with toys and having a zoomy half hour every evening. At the centre we have 23 acres of woodland and I adore going out for walks and runs about off lead. Sometimes, I take a long time sniffing all the smells, but what is life for if not smelling all the goodness. So why have I not been adopted? Well, I am not very happy with people I don't know and I do bark quite noisily at them. I especially don't like strangers coming to the front door or being outside in my space. If I am honest, I feel the same about dogs. It's just that I like to live my life very quietly with those I know. My carers joke that I need my own private island - but really I'd be happy with a quiet home with my own garden and walks where I don't bump into others. Lola is not suitable to a home with children or who have other pets. It's a tall ask I know, but other dogs here at the centre find homes like this, and I think one day I will too...

Edward is a 4 year old Greyhound. To apply to rehome me please click on the \rehoming starts here button\ below. Apllications will close once I have found my suitable match. Edward is a friendly boy, who is affectionate towards his family and likes meeting new people. He is looking for an adult only home and could live with a friendly female sighthound.

Type of home needed

Edward is a calm soul who prefers a quiet life and although he does like being around his family, there are times where he likes to spend time alone. He does not like to be disturbed when he is resting or sleeping and would need new owners who are able to provide him with his own sleeping area where he can rest peacefully and not be interupted. Edward loves spending time in the garden, you will often either see him zooming around or playing with his favorite toy. Edward also considers himself a bit of a foodie! He is not fussy when it comes to food but will let you know chicken, cheese and ham are his top 3 favourites!

More about me

Like many sighthounds Edward does have a strong desire to chase small furries and does wear his lead and muzzle when out and about on his walks. This is something he is used to, and he will happily wear. Edward is house-trained, can be left alone for short periods of time and loves to travel in the car.
