Pludi at the Borders Pet Rescue

Pludi at the Borders Pet Rescue

Contact Shelter Adoption Form More Shelter Pets

6yr old Pludi is looking for a new home through no fault of her own. Pludi actually came from a home with other cats but only tolerated them so would prefer a home where she was the only pet. She hasn’t lived with children but has been around visiting children and so could maybe live with older cat-savvy children.

Pludi really loves company and gets upset when left alone too long so will need an owner who is about most of the time.

Pludi is used to having outdoor access but lived in a fairly quiet area so might not have much road sense, as such she would be best suited to a quieter area where she can have access to the outdoors

If you would like to offer Pludi her new forever home, please click the button above to apply for her. (Please note we reply to all applications so if you do not have a reply within 24hours, please check your spam folder)

Poor Rosy can be quite a shy cat but when she gets to know you she is very friendly and loving.

3 year old Mittens is a very friendly boy looking for a new home through no fault of his own. Mittens ideally needs a neighbourhood that’s not too populated with cats due to a history of being bullied in his previous neighbourhood.

He is said to be good with dogs, and has been around children although he was a bit grumpy with them at times so may prefer a home with older children.

5yr old Simba can be quite a grumpy fella so is looking for a home with an experienced cat owner. Simba can be a friendly guy when he gets to know you and trusts you, but he will quickly let you know when he’s had enough.

When Simba gets to know you and if you are able to give him space when he needs it, we feel Simba would make a good companion, however we would also consider an outdoor home for him where he can choose how much interaction he has with people

We are looking for special home for this gorgeous boy.

1½yr old Elmo is deaf and therefore, for his own safety, needs an indoor home. However, he was brought into us as he was becoming frustrated with staying in and started to fight with the other cats in the home, we therefore feel he needs a home where he can have some secure or supervised outdoor access, whether that be a cat pen or access to a secure garden.

He will need to be the only pet in the home but is a very friendly boy so could go to a home with children.

If you would like to offer Elmo his forever home, please click the button above to apply for him. (Please note we reply to all applications so if you do not have a reply within 24hours, please check your spam folder)

Who could resist those big, beautiful eyes and cute purrsonality! Introducing our latest cuddle bug, Suki. She has an incredibly sweet personality – and requires an owner who can give her plenty of affection!

Suki was rescued from a Colony of cats that are fed well by the organisation they live with. However, Suki’s coat had become matted over the winter, so it was necessary to take her to the vet to get shaved.

Low and behold, she is the softest sweetest loving little thing. She lay down and let the vet shave her. So it’s clear that she has been a pet originally, and has possibly strayed into the colony.

She is tiny, and VERY affectionate. She loves nothing more than being cuddled.

It’s clear that she would do better with a home that can groom her (she loves being brushed) and has time to give her plenty attention.

As she is so friendly, she cannot be allowed to roam free, as she would likely go off with anyone passing by.

Ideally she would be an indoor cat, or have access to a catio, or garden with pet fencing. It would be sensible to bring her in during wet weather to avoid her coat becoming matted.

If you are interested in Suki please review our rehomimg FAQ page and submit your enquiry below – he is waiting to hear from you!

Atticus (black) & Belle are a son and mother looking for a home together.

Belle is 10 and Atticus is 9 years old. They are a very sweet pair, Belle is the more outgoing of the two and Atticus can be shy at first.

Belle and Atticus would like a home that will allow them to venture outdoors after a suitable settling in period. They have lived with dogs and other cats, but may prefer to be the only cats. They may get on ok with a friendly, cat-savvy dog and can live with older children.

You can phone the shelter on 0131 554 5521 for more information on our homing process

Peanut & Aurora at the Edinburgh Cat Protection League

Peanut & Aurora at the Edinburgh Cat Protection League

Contact Shelter More Shelter Pets

Aurora and Peanut (tabby) are indoor cats looking for a home together.

Aurora is 2 and Peanut is 7 years old. Both are a little nervous to start with - Peanut hisses a little, but it's all talk and he is very affectionate once he is used to you.

Peanut is FIV positive. Aurora is negative (ergo, no serious fights between them!) and we have decided to keep them together - while the risk is not impossible, it is relatively low. They will however need to be the only pets - they may not react well to cats they are not bonded with an enough serious bites could spread the disease from cat to cat.

Peanut and Aurora will also need a home with no young children.

You can contact the shelter on 0131 554 5521 for more information on our homing process.

Sky and Smokey at the Edinburgh Cat Protection League

Sky and Smokey at the Edinburgh Cat Protection League

Contact Shelter More Shelter Pets

Sky and Smokey are an indoor pair looking for a quiet home.

Sky (all white) is turning 11 years old and Smokey is almost 9 years old. Sky can be a little shy to begin with, Smokey is more outgoing and likes to greet people. Sky is a little food orientated, and can be won over with a little treat.

Sky and Smokey will need to be the only pets in their new home. They would not be suited to a home with very young children, and would probably appreciate a less busy household.

You can contact the shelter on 0131 554 5521 for more information on our homing process.

They can be quite shy initially and are used to a nice quiet home so are looking for a similar forever home

We’re delighted to introduce the very handsome Lenny.  He arrived at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue as a long term stray but on arrival it was very clear he had been owned at some point in his life.   He is lively, enjoys a good play with the feather tickler and bunny kicking his catnip toys now that he’s learnt toys are safe and fun!

Lenny is looking for an adult only home with no plans for children or possibly an experienced cat household with older children who can understand that affection needs to be on Lenny’s terms until he’s learnt to trust you.  With living on the streets for so long not everyone has been kind to him so it can take him a little time to warm to strangers.

When Lenny first arrived his coat was badly matted and filthy, full of twigs and he just looked miserable. His coat condition is returning slowly and now he’s all neutered and vet checked he’s looking forward to finding someone to love him unconditionally and teach him what love is in a warm and safe home.

If you are interested in Lenny and can offer him what he needs, please apply below – he is waiting to hear from you!
