Shelter Location: Craigsford Earlston Scottish Borders TD4 6DJ

**WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM PEOPLE LIVING IN THE SCOTTISH BORDERS AT THIS TIME**

Please note that the rescue centre is currently closed to members of the public as per our Covid guidelines!

We have been asked to help to relocate some feral cats. We are looking for homes on farms or stables but due to current restrictions, you must live within the Scottish Borders.

The cats will need somewhere secure they can be kept for at least 2 weeks so they get to know their new home and they will also need to be fed as they are used to being fed where they currently are.

There has been cat flu in the feral colony and so they cannot be rehomed along other cats since they may not have symptoms but could still be carriers and spread it to other cats.

We are looking to rehome them in pairs or more from within the colony. They will be wormed, deflead and neutered where needed before going off to their new home.

If you live within the Scottish Borders and can provide the above situation for feral cats, please click HERE to apply. (Please note we reply to all applications so if you do not have a reply within 24hours, please check your spam folder)

Ideal home location

A home with a garden, A quiet home, An experienced owner

Meet Harley

Harley is looking for an experienced cat owner who has had a feisty or grumpy cat in the past. She needs a quiet home without children, or visitors under the age of 16. She needs access to a garden via a cat flap, and would suit a home in a quiet area with land she can explore whenever she wants to. She isn’t keen on other animals, and would like to be the only pet in her new home.

Harley can be sweet and affectionate at times with people she knows, but this is firmly on her terms. She can also be unpredictable so will need lots of space as she enjoys her independence. She is looking for an understanding person to give her a chance at having a forever home, and would prefer someone who will be at home for part of the day.

How To Rehome

To rehome Harley, please read more about our rehoming process.

Ideal home location

Meet Oliver

Oliver is looking for an experienced owner who has had a feisty cat in the past. He needs an adult only environment where he will be the only pet. He will need direct access to a garden through a cat flap so he can go outside when he wants to. He would suit a quiet area away from the city centre, where there is enough land around for him to explore freely.

Oliver is an independent boy who isn’t used to being handled much. He prefers his own space and likes to come and go when he wants. He loves his food and likes getting tasty cat treats. He is playful and likes to have fun with feathery toys and balls. Oliver is never likely to be a lap cat but may enjoy a bit more fussing when he feels settled. He would love to find an understanding and patient owner who will let their relationship develop at a pace he is happy with.

How To Rehome

To rehome Oliver, please read more about our rehoming process.
