Breed: Spaniel
Sex: Male
Age: 9 years
Key information: Friendly boy, good with dogs outside, needs 1 owner household and adult only and to be the only pet in the home.
Bobby is a friendly and happy boy who enjoys meeting new people. He loves to go for walks, play fetch with his ball and if he really likes you, he will roll over and expect you to tickle his tummy.
Bobby does not like being left alone, he finds this unsettling and a little scary. Bobby has shown guarding behavior in the past, he will be defensive and unhappy when people try to walk near or close to his sleeping/ resting areas. Bobby needs a space in the home which will only be his, this place can’t be disturbed, and you would only go near it when he is in the garden or another room. Bobby is learning to go to his safe place when he feels threatened or needs some alone time, his space will have a den like crate where he can hide if he wants to but also feel safe and secure.
Bobbys new people need to understand his behavior and respect his space. it’s vital that Bobby is left in peace so he can continue to trust you and feel at ease. He will need a garden where he can spend time off his lead and have lots of fun with his toys.
Bobby is very affectionate, and he shows this very easily. He walks great on his lead, has loads of doggy friends, loves the car and the beach is his favorite place to go as he also loves the water.
if you think you could offer Bobby a home please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
