Key information: friendly and loving with people she knows, looking for adult only home, could possibly live with another calm dog.
Rio is a sweet and loving girl who adores her people, she can take her time getting to know you, but a tasty treat or two helps to build a friendship. She can meet other dogs outside but if they are too excitable or pester her, she can get worried and want to be away from them. Rio is affectionate with those she trusts but she can be shy of people she does not know.
Rio is house-trained, happy being left alone for short periods of time and enjoys a trip in the car, especially if this leads to the countryside or beach for a good walk.
Rio arrived at the centre through no fault of her own, sadly her owner passed away and she is now on the lookout for a new family. This beautiful girl is looking for new owners who are at home most of the day to help her adjust to her new life. She would love a garden where she can spend time off her lead. Rio would benefit from a calm household with owners who have had experience of nervous dogs before.
if you think you can offer Rio her forever home, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
All applications for Rio will be considered after Monday 4th November.
