Barry at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male Greyhound who is age 3yo

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

3yo Barry is looking out for his forever home. Barry does in the whole have a good nature and can be homed with other greyhounds but he is very protective of his food and care needs to be taken when feeding. He is very reactive to small dogs so would therefore be unsuitable to live with them. Barry would suit an environment with someone who has sighthound experience.

Here is 2.5 year old Leyla who has recently joined us to look for her forever home. So far she has proven to be a nice friendly girl. She is a bit pully and strong headed at the start but she soon calms herself down. She gets on well with her kennel mate Jolly. She likes her food but has shown no aggression towards food as she gets fed in beside Jolly. Leyla is booked in to have her spaying op next week and it will be all systems go to find her a sofa before Christmas.

Cliff is a 3yo boy looking for his forever home. So far he has been fine with his kennel mate, he also didn't react to anything that he seen on Sunday. He can be a bit pully at times on the lead. He can also be a little wary of new situations until he gets used to them but overall he's a very friendly boy.

Bobby at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Bobby is a small but stocky boy. He takes a couple of days to adjust to a new environment but once settled it is clear just how friendly he is. Care would need to be taken around small dogs until he gets used to them but overall he's content and thus far we have had no issues with him.

Burkey at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male blue Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Burkey is on the lookout for his forever home. He will celebrate his 4th birthday in November and hoping to do so on his forever sofa. Burkey gets on OK with other female greyhounds. For some reason he is reactive to blue greyhounds (and they say dogs are colour blind). He is a happy lad who suffers from waggy tail injury other words known as burst tail due to him wagging it so much. Does Burkey sound the boy for you ?

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

Magic is a lovely natured boy who is looking for his forever home. He's not as old as he looks as he's only 4yo. Magic is great with other greyhounds, is used to older people as the trainer he came from was elderly. He walks well on the lead although he can be reactive to small dogs. Let's get Magic his own sofa before Santa hits town.

Boots at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Female Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

2year old Boots is looking for her forever home. She gets on with other greyhounds but is reactive to other breeds. But it must be said with her being just a baby her head is full of carry on and this shouldn't be mistaken for aggression she only wants to play. She can get a bit rough during playtime so she could go with children but we would only suggest older children. Her ideal family would be a family looking to spend a bit of time showing Boots the ropes and also a family who is a bit more active as she has loads of energy to use. She has spent a bit of time in a house and the feedback we got was she was clean and loved to wander in and out an unlocked crate.

Mickey at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Male Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

3.5 year old Mickey is looking out for his forever home. Mickey is a little nervous to start with but his happy character soon comes out when he gets to know you. He's quite a tall boy but you wouldn't know he's around in the kennel. Great with other greyhounds and larger dogs but not so good with smaller dogs. He's a delight to have but hopefully we won't have him long.

Here is Daisy who is now looking for her forever home. Daisy took a while to recover from her spaying operation but she's now ready to look for her home. She is a friendly girl loves to jump up for cuddles and attention. Daisy is the sister of Lulu who is currently in foster and also of Star who we homed and both of these are doing fantastically well. Let's get Daisy into a home for Christmas so she an see what Santa brings her.

Queenie at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Female Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

6year old Queenie is still looking for her forever home. Queenie had spent almost 2 years in a home but had to come back to us due to a drastic change of family circumstances. Queenie needs the company of another greyhound. She is well used to children but is reactive to small dogs. Whilst she has adapted back to life in the kennel we would really like this girl to find her home so she can get back to the home comforts that she was used to.

Roma joined us on Sunday and so far she has been the perfect girl. She was totally non reactive to anything that she met at the walk. She will be spayed shortly and hopefully won't be long until she's on her sofa.

Becky at West Scotland Retired Greyhound Trust

A Female Greyhound

Contact Shelter

Shelter Location: Various locations in and around Glasgow

4year old Becky has joined us to look for her forever home. She is a small friendly girl who loves to jump up for cuddles and attention. She has been around kids with no problem but be aware she does like to jump up so care would need to be taken around younger kids.
