Away from the city centre
An active owner
Rex is looking for an active owner who can keep him company in the beginning until he settles in. He would like a quiet home away from the city centre. He might be able to live with older teenagers and possibly a calm dog pending a successful introduction.
Rex is a friendly, gentle natured boy who can be a bit shy meeting new people to begin with but, with a little time, is very affectionate. He can be sensitive and does startle easily at loud noises or sudden movements so his new owner will need to be understanding and committed to building his confidence. Rex is incredibly clever and already knows a lot of commands, but he is always keen to learn new things, particularly when food or his tennis ball are involved. He would happily chase a ball all day and will require plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep him happy so would thrive from having an active owner who are keen to take him on different adventures and possibly do an activity with him like flyball or agility. Rex is friendly with other dogs and might be able to live with one if introductions go well.
In the short time he has been with us, Rex has already proven what a brilliant companion he will be for the right owner.
