Name: Willow

Gender: Male
Location: Cornwall
Willow is a Welsh Collie living with his current family in Cornwall. He will be 3 years old in December and is up to date with his vaccination etc but has not been neutered at the advice of his vets (we would suggest that this is revisited).
Willow has been with his current family since he was a puppy and has been brought up around children. Unfortunately due to the family's circumstances, they are not able to keep Willow as they are unable to offer him the continued exercise, mental stimulation and training required for this very clever dog. Willows family explain that Willow is a lovely dog who is very loyal, smart, affectionate and amazing with their son. He also loves to play football!
Willow does have some areas that required further training such as recall (although he will come back to a ball thrower, as he loves a ball), he will try and chase cars (but this is managed using a particular lead) and he does not like some sounds e.g. the hoover and will snap at these.
Willow loves attention and walks, and is normally good with other dogs and plays nicely with the other dogs in the family. He does bark sometimes but not excessively, and he is not destructive at all in the home or garden. He is also housetrained.
His family believe he would live a happier life with a family able to give him the time and adventures he needs and willing to continue with his training.
We would like to see Willow in a rural home, ideally with experienced collie / working dog owners who understand this breeds needs.
If you have a Willow-shaped hole in your life please pop on to our website and complete a pre-application application form (https://www.savingandrehomingstrays.org)
