Dogs: while both are good on walks and meeting dogs at the off lead, Nellie likes her own space and prefers it to be just her and Diesel at home.

Hi Everyone! My name is Yumiko
My foster mum just calls me Yumi which I like. I’m a 3yr old husky. I’ve been with my foster mum in Scotland now for 3mths. I love the cold and the nice hills I get to wander here.
I love sleeping at the bottom of my foster mums bed and getting tucked in at night in my fluffy blanket. I love a lie in but like to open the curtain to look out the window in the morning while I’m still in bed. I like lazy mornings but as soon as I’m asked do I want breakfast I jump up. I love long walks and running so would love my forever home to be active.
When I’m left at home alone I seek out cardboard and poly bags and rip them up so my foster mum has to hide these. If I don’t get my long walks I can also scratch the door when left but this has only happened once so I’m always good being left for a few hours if I’m tired from my hill walks.
I don’t have little kids in my house at the minute but I’m very gentle with all the kids I’ve met and love kisses and cuddles. In fact I will kiss everyone I meet because I just love all the attention. I also am friendly with other dogs even when they bark at me. I think I would love a brother or sister as I’m super playful.
I can sit and lie down but only when I want so I may need some more work on that. My ideal home would be somewhere I can get to run and nice long walks in the hills or near the water.
I am a special pup because I just have so much love for everyone I meet and I’m not a noisy husky. I will do a quiet talk if I want out or need attention but mum says I’m a unicorn of a sled dog

Casper is a very friendly, sweet, gentle, 8 year old boy cat, looking for his forever home as his owner has sadly been made homeless.
If you want a gentle soul that loves to sit on your knee and follow you around and rub your legs, Casper is the cat for you. If you speak to Casper, he will talk back to you. Casper loves to play with his toys either on his own or with you. Casper loves to play with his light up toy and will chase his toys for ages. Casper will make a lovely companion.
Casper can live with children aged 5 years as he is very gentle with his family’s children. Casper has never lived with another cat so will need to be the only cat in the home. He cannot live with a dog. Casper loves to sit in the garden and likes to sniff the grass, so needs a home in a safe residential area away from busy roads so he can get outside. (No flats please). Reggie is approx 6 months old & looking for his forever home, Reggie is a typical young boisterous staffie who loves to play but as still in the puppy stage can become over excited & mouthy. He knows basic commands and enjoys playing with his ball and a game of tug.
Reggie is crate trained & goes in there to sleep & when his owner is out with no issues, he is also housetrained & travels well in the car, he has been used to the car from a young age.
Reggie hasn’t been socialised much but he seems to be submissive with other dogs, his new owners will need to work on socialising him & exposing him to the world as walking outside & on a lead can be scary at times! Reggie will need lead training as at the moment he doesn't walk well on the lead, he would suit an active home who will be dedicated to training him.

Ali has been very popular and has already been matched to several possible homes, so we are unable to process any new interest for him.
Ali is looking for an owner who is prepared to continue his training. He may suit living with children aged 8 or more and he could potentially live with other animals. He would like an owner who can spend most of their day with him.
Ali is a sweet and friendly young boy who loves attention and is always happy to meet new people. He is pretty laid back for his age, but can get a little overexcited at times, and needs to continue his training with his new owners. Ali is very playful and loves spending time in our dog park, where he likes to play with his toys or meet up with his doggy friends for a good run around. Ali is lots of fun to have around and will make a great family pet.

Ringo has been very popular and has now been matched to several possible homes, this means we are unable to process any new interest for him.
Ringo is looking for a quiet home, with someone active who has owned a dog before. He may suit living with older children aged 12 or more but would prefer to be the only pet in his home. He also needs to have access to a secure garden and a home in a quiet area away from the city centre. He would like to have company for most of the day.
Ringo is a sweet and happy boy who loves attention and being made a fuss of. He likes being with people and loves cuddling up on the sofa. He is a very energetic dog who needs an active owner, who can provide all of the exercise and mental stimulation that he needs. He would benefit from long walks in in the countryside, and because he enjoys using his nose, he would like to do some scent work. Ringo can be boisterous when he is over excited, so will need to continue his training, but he is sure to make a great addition to the right family.

We are looking for a happy, loving home who can give Izzy all the love she deserves. She would love a completely secure garden where she can safely do what she loves best...play ! someone with experience and understanding of the breed and the common medical issues that can come with this would be preferable. Going forward we would strongly suggest she is insured with a reputable pet insurance company, and the new owners appreciate and fully understand the cost of owning one of these dogs. We would ideally be looking to rehome her with another of our dachshunds. Regarding children we will be looking for a home with kids 10years or older.

Super Staffie!
Casper has been with us for a while now and has had a difficult time finding love! Casper initially pulled strongly on the lead, but he has made great progress and now walks much better on the lead, though he still pulls slightly when he finds an interesting spot to sniff! He ignores the other dogs at the centre and has been parallel-walked with another dog, but he would like to be the only pet in his new home. Casper does keep his kennel clean overnight indicating that he may have been housetrained previously.
History
Casper came to the centre as an unclaimed stray.
Re-homing Criteria
Ideally, Casper is looking for a home with a secure garden where he won’t be left alone for long periods of time. Casper can be overly enthusiastic around people and would do best in a home without small children. He is a lovely staffie with a lot of personality and character; he will make an excellent canine companion!

Chase is an energetic and friendly fella looking for a family who can continue his basic training, including calm behaviours and loose lead walking. He is a 2 year old German Shepherd who requires a lot of mental stimulation so he would love a family who would enjoy keeping him busy, and who are able to physically manage him on the lead! Chase requires direct access to a secure garden that has a 6ft fence and he is looking to learn how to socialise with other dogs who aren't too bouncy as he can be reactive to other dogs. For this reason, he is looking to be the only pet in the home and cannot live with children under the age of 16. Chase would also benefit from quiet, dog-free areas to walk in. He is able to be left for 3-5 hours a day, as long as this is built up slowly.

Chase adores people and soft toys and also fully believes that he is the size of a lap dog! This fantastic fluffy boy will thrive in a home that are happy to spend time training and exercising him. Are you right for Freda?
Freda is a cute little 4 year old Pug who can be a little worried at first but she soon warms up. We don't have any information about Freda's background, so we don't know how she will behave in a home. She is looking to work on her basic training, which may include house-training and being left home alone. She could be left home alone for up to 2-3 hours a day once this has been built up and she has settled in. This lovely lady is looking to have a secure and private garden of her own that can be accessed directly from the home.

Shy girl with a lot of love to give !
Rose came into the centre with other dachshunds from a multi dog household, and is currently sharing a kennel with the other two females. In the short time we have gotten to know all their little personalities Rose has shown to be a little more reserved than the others. Once she gets to know you she shows her playful cuddly side this just takes a little more patience to see.
History
A change in her previous owners circumstances has led Rose to need to be rehomed.
Re-homing Criteria
Rose is looking for a home that she can get all the love and time she needs. Rose ideally would want to go with one of her other dachshund friends she currently shares a kennel with as they bring out her more confident side. A must for these guys is a completely secure garden as they do not yet have any recall and there size means they would be able to fit through little gaps. We would be looking for someone who possibly works part time and is around a lot to give her stability. We are ideally looking for new owners that has had either previous experience or close knowledge of this breed. Dachshunds as a breed come with some health worries, due to this going forward we would strongly suggest that she is insured with a reputable pet insurance company and new owners will need fully understand the cost that can come with owning one of these dogs.
